CAMS’ Mike Brown Earns CMCA® Designation
CAMS (Community Association Management Services) is proud to announce that Mike Brown has recently earned his Community Association Management Specialist (CMCA®) designation. This certification reflects Brown's commitment and dedication to the community association management industry.
Brown joined the CAMS team in June 2022 as an on-site community manager in Wilmington, NC. He previously worked in Canada’s retirement housing industry, where he served in various roles, such as regional vice president and director of operations.
When asked about his achievement, Brown said, "When I joined CAMS, I sought to learn as much as possible about the industry. The CMCA designation recognizes my commitment to this field and allows me to continue providing trusted guidance to our boards and owners."
Regional Vice President Rich Orduno, CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®, is also excited about Brown’s achievement.
"Since Mike joined the team, he has consistently led by example with a quiet and consistent leadership style,” said Orduno. “Embracing the educational opportunities offered by CAMS, he wasted no time obtaining his CMCA. We're proud to share this accomplishment with Mike."
The Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®) designation, awarded by the Community Association Managers International Certification Board (CAMICB), signifies an individual's proficiency in community association management. It is a recognized industry standard that demonstrates a manager's commitment to upholding the field's highest professional standards and knowledge. Earning the CMCA designation requires a comprehensive understanding of essential areas crucial for successful community association management, including governance, finance, ethics, and operations.
